Wallpaper symbols and their meaning

Wallpaper icons provide information on how to hang, wash and remove wallpaper. For the purchase of wallpaper, you should check out these wallpaper symbols. Grandeco lists them for you in an overview.

In addition to the wide range of wallpapers, each wallpaper label also contains many icons. These symbols provide technical specifications and information on how to hang the wallpaper. Before purchasing, it's best to take a look at these icons.

Also check the batch number (or production number) before purchasing. In the development of wallpaper it is almost impossible to produce exactly the same colors with every print. Make sure that the batch numbers of all rolls are the same.

1. Applying the pattern (while wallpapering)

No correlation

No correlation
When applying the wallpaper you don't have to take the design on the wallpaper into account.

straight match

Straight correlation (or adjoining correlation)
Similar designs must be glued next to each other at the same height. The pattern repetition (e.g. 50 cm) indicates how high the pattern is on the wallpaper.

Staggered correlation
Similar designs must always be shifted to the next line. The number next to this icon indicates how many centimetres the pattern will change by.
