Grandeco invests in Durst for maximum print quality and flexibility

Grandeco continues to invest purposefully in the future of wallcoverings. After pioneering digitally printed wallpaper around eight years ago, the company is now strengthening its production capacity and technological capabilities with the installation of a new digital Durst printer. This investment underlines Grandeco’s ambition to better support B2B customers with high-quality, flexible and reliable print solutions.

The new printer replaces an older digital print line and marks an important step in further optimizing quality, finishing and delivery reliability.

Durst

Higher print quality down to the finest detail

Durst is known for its exceptional print quality. Multiple passes over the same surface result in deeper colours, sharper details and more refined textures. This leads to wallcoverings with a very high level of visual consistency, even in complex designs, large surfaces or subtle colour gradients.

For B2B customers, this means an even broader range, where designs are translated precisely into the final product, without compromising on aesthetics or finishing.

Greater flexibility in applications and finishes

Thanks to a wide print capacity of up to 3.2 metres and the ability to print multiple lanes simultaneously, the new technology offers additional flexibility in format and execution.

“We can print simultaneously on two duo rolls of 106 centimetres each, which are then cut into standard wallpaper rolls of 53 centimetres. For non-woven materials, we can even print three lanes side by side on a single roll. Multipass printing takes slightly more time than single pass, but thanks to the wide setup of this Durst printer, the process remains efficient while maintaining high and consistent print quality,” says Koen Callewaert, Design & Creation Manager.

The printer is also suitable for various substrates such as non-woven and PVC and supports a wide range of finishes, including gloss and tactile textures.

This versatility enables Grandeco to respond quickly and accurately to specific project requirements, custom requests and collections with a distinctive character. For customers, this translates into greater creative freedom and a wider range of applications.

Consistent quality and reliable delivery times

The advanced automation and smart technology of the Durst printer ensure an highly stable production process.

This strengthens delivery reliability, an essential factor for professional customers working with tight deadlines, project planning and fixed collection launches.

Sustainable and future-oriented technology

In addition to quality and flexibility, energy efficiency is another key advantage of the new print technology. The Durst printer is designed with efficient use of energy and materials in mind, perfectly aligning with Grandeco’s broader vision of sustainable production and responsible investment.

An investment with clear added value for the customer

With this investment, Grandeco confirms its role as a forward-thinking production partner for the B2B market. The new digital print technology offers customers:

  • higher and more consistent print quality
  • more possibilities in design, format and finishing
  • greater flexibility for projects and collections
  • a reliable and future-proof production environment

In this way, Grandeco continues to build long-term partnerships based on trust, quality and innovation.
